This project is centered on an original superhero IP titled Nerve (Martina “Tini” Juarez), a construction worker who gains bioluminescent abilities after a catastrophic cochlear implant surgery and an encounter with a creature known as the Cochleagastropoda. Designing this character required integrating narrative storytelling with functional product design — balancing expressive organic forms, creature anatomy, surface detailing, and articulation engineering. Powers such as enhanced auditory perception and environmental sound manipulation informed both aesthetic decisions and sculptural surface treatments.
